JOINT MEETING
KUKI NATIONAL ORGANISATION
&
ZOMI RE-UNIFICATION ORGANISATION

The Kuki National Organisation and the Zomi Re-unification Organisation Joint Meeting
was held on May 11, 2026 at the residence of ZRO President at 1300 hours.

The August house adopted the following resolutions:-

1. That, to monitor Communal disharmony spread through Social media such as Whatsapp Channels, Facebook pages, Whatsapp groups etc. a Joint Monitoring Cell
   was formed with both Organisations’ Information and Public Relation Department.
   The Secretaries of both Organisations are to jointly monitor the JMC.
   It was further agreed that a Press Statement be published jointly by both KNO and ZRO in this
   regard.
2. That, our common Political goal as adopted after May 3, 2023 is Union Territory with Legislature and it still remains the same until further decision.
3. That, with regard to the term Kuki-Zo as a common nomenclature which is unacceptable to the Zomi, the KNO Cabinet will first meet and discuss with the leaders who advocated the term Kuki-Zo. After which KNO and ZRO will tabled the matter again in the next meeting. However, it is wise to mention that the leaders
   of Zomi suggested the use of the term Kuki – Zomi on mutual respect basis in our
   common political movement.
4. That, with regard to the formation of Central Working Committee to co-ordinate and monitor our political dialogue, the ZRO Cabinet will first ponder upon the
   matter, after which the matter shall be tabled again in the next meeting.
5. The KNO and the ZRO unanimously resolved not to involve in the program of Manipur Chief Minister Y. Khemchand Singh’s visit to Churachandpur on May 15, 2026.
